Count Buckules to host Music and Sound Awards
The UK’s first awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate the indispensable role and outstanding contribution that music and sound design makes to the world of visual media is guaranteed to be a glittering affair. The inaugural awards will be hosted by none other than Adam Buxton, the popular comedian and presenter who promises to bring his own particular brand of sparkling humour to the ceremony which will be held on February 23rd 2012 at Koko, Camden.
A much-loved face and voice in the music and film community, not only is Adam the star of the Adam and Joe Show and the Adam and Joe podcasts, he also has a string of UK TV, radio and film projects under his belt. As host for the 2011 UK Music Video Awards, Adam demonstrated his unique comedy perspective and brilliant approach to entertaining, making him the perfect choice for the inaugural Music & Sound Awards and ensuring it will be a night to remember and an awards ceremony unlike any other.

What’s more, to add to an already impressive role call of sponsors and media partners, this week 5 new names have been added to further strengthen the industry’s support of these brand new awards. Submissions have been shooting in from agencies, productions companies, composers, studios, directors, publishers, labels and music production companies with the low cost of entry making the awards accessible to up and coming talent as well as the major players, a move which will give everyone an equal opportunity to shine.
Second call for entries.
The awards are open to anyone who believes they have been part of a production that features an outstanding soundtrack.
The Music & Sound awards are encouraging entries from advertising agencies, production companies, film makers, programme makers, designers and developers as much as from composers, sound designers and music supervisors. All entries must conform to one of the designated categories and have been broadcast, published or released with client approval in the UK between 1 October 2010 and 8 October 2011 and submitted no later than 9 December 2011.
