Music publishing companies come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and accommodate a range of different roles. However, competition for jobs can be fierce. Practical experience may be just as important to prospective employers as formal qualifications. A willingness to get stuck in, and an interest in music will often stand you in good stead.
The MPA offers 2 four-month paid internships each year. Details will be posted here around the beginning and the middle of each year.
Another way to become more attractive to prospective employers is to undertake some industry training. Recent graduates and industry newcomers will also want to consider the MPA Richard Toeman Scholarship.
