In this issue, we discuss the shape of the future of music publishing, thanks to contributions from two visionaries, Gerd Leonhard and Ralph Simon, who both delivered impressive presentations at our AGM in July 2007.
We talk to Marty Bandier – a legend in his own right – who provides us with a very candid interview. His energy and his faith in the future are refreshing and infectious. We also explore the world of video games and ask how music fits into these amazing visual creations. And we travel to Germany – Europe’s second largest market – and come back with the sense that this country is enjoying a creative renaissance with the rise of a new generation of homegrown acts. The message we want to get across is that today, more than ever, publishers are at the heart of the music industry and have a great future ahead.
