Julie's Bicycle takes First Step
The MPA got on our bikes and cycled down to the Royal Geographic Society for the launch of a report into the UK Music Industry's greenhouse gas emissions.
The report, First Step, was conducted by Oxford University's Environmental Change Institute for Julie's Bicycle, the charity dedicated to taking the heat out of music.
Launched on Friday 18 April, the research provides an indicative estimate of the annual greenhouse gas emissions of the UK music industry - some 538,000 tonnes CO2 equivelant.
The MPA is happy to be working alongside Julie's Bicycle to find ways in which to reduce our own emissions and those of member companies.
