British Black Music Month (BBMM) takes place throughout June, and this year has been extended into July. The initiative was started by BritishBlackMusic.com/Black Music Congress in 2006 as a way of promoting British black music and highlighting issues, through discussions, album anatomies, courses, seminars, live performances, club nights, networking, radio shows, etc.
As part of British Black Music Month, there will be a 'Music Biz Empowerment Monday Half-Day Master-class Sessions'
These are accessible music industry professional development master classes offered to new entrants and industryites interested in increasing their knowledge of specific subjects such as Music Industry, Event Planning, Running A Record Label, Music Publishing & Copyright, Marketing & Promotion, Management, Understanding Digital Music & Marketing and Credit Crunch? Identifying Sources of Income & Making Money From Music.
The price per session for MPA members is £20 (normal price £25) or £80 for 6 sessions.
