Why join the MPA?
The Music Publishers Association (MPA) is a non-profit organisation representing music publishers and their writers' interests in the UK. It has approximately 200 members (including all five majors, almost all the leading independent music publishers and the leading classical music publishers) representing over 3,000 associated and administered music publishing companies. The combined turnover of the members of the MPA is approaching £500 million, representing over 90% of the total income from copyright musical works in the UK. The MPA also owns the MCPS (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society).
The MPA ensures its members’ views and issues are heard by UK Government - via its membership of the Music Business Forum, and by the EU - via its membership of ICMP (International Confederation of Music Publishers), in addition to having a close working relationship with the MCPS-PRS Alliance and other music industry bodies.
